I'm now officially a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner for the Birmingham Crisis Center!!!! 

After three days of training and supervised performance, I have passed the requirements to work as a SANE. 

In case you don't know what exactly what that means... here's a little explanation: 

As a SANE, I will be responsible for gathering evidence from a sexual assault victim that could be used in court for conviction. 

Yeah, I feel a little bit SVUish. 

It a tough job, but I'm so glad that I can use my education and skills as a nurse to help my community.
